We dreamed up this restorative cocoa while sheltering in place in the mountains of Park City, Utah. One year into the pandemic, we were seeking ways to find comfort, stay healthy and relax.

Cocoa hasn't kept up with the people drinking it
Park City is home to a vibrant community of athletes, including decorated Olympians from the US ski team.
In resort towns like ours, hot chocolate is a staple in cafes, restaurants, and chalets. Often loaded with sugar and not much else, it’s typically reserved as an occasional indulgence or a treat for kids.
But chocolate (made from cacao) is a nutrient-rich superfood perfect for an active lifestyle. Packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and theobromine, it provides a gentle, feel-good boost to revive, restore, and rebalance your body.
... so we gave it a shot and made one ourselves —LOCOCO: a cocoa for locals.
LOCOCO® cocoa is an original blend of organic cacao powders, low-glycemic sugars, coconut milk, spices, and functional mushrooms to support your body and mind.
It's dairy free, gluten-free, contains less than a third of the sugar found in other cocoas, less than 10% of the caffeine found in coffee—and with a flavor that bests other hot chocolates in culinary taste tests.
Our first Original Spice formula was crafted in our home kitchen in 2020. Later we refined it and added a second flavor, Lux Vanilla, in close partnership with Romie Mangini Fisher, a head pastry chef at Montage Resorts with a background in chocolate and nutrition.
